The Joint Congress of Orthopedics was held on 12th-14th June 2024 at Shahid Beheshti University of Tehran.
500 orthopedic specialists and 30 speakers participated in this conference and reviewed the latest achievements in the field of orthopedics.
Mojtaba Barotkoob, a member of the Iranian Orthopedic Association and executive secretary of the Joint Conference on Orthopedics of Medical Universities, said: "Osteoarthritis is the most common joint and muscular disease that has no definitive cure.
He also pointed out that 20% of knee arthritis patients in Iran are under the age of 50, and said: "This disease can be prevented with a healthy lifestyle, drug injections, and joint surgery."
